RHM30Z1028 lens is high performance day/night long
range motorized zoom lens. It is called CATS
(Chromatic Aberration is
Totally Small).
Regular (Type 1) zoom lens has need for re-focusing
during normal zoom-in and zoom-out operation. To compensate that CAM (mechanical
compensation method) has to be developed. CAM has be created for visible part of
light spectrum (ray) or invisible (IR). Back focusing might be required.
CATS lens overcomes this problem. The
back focal length of the long focal length is virtually the same for both
visible and invisible ray. This eliminates need for re-focusing during normal
operation. More then that, this lens will not become de-focused (image shift)
during zooming in night operation under IR illumination. Thus CATS lens is ideal
for day/night surveillance of (but not limited to):
borders, coasts, airports, seaports, forests,
rivers, dams, roads, facilities, military surveillance, police surveillance,
power utilities, long fences...more.
